The Job is Simple

Bring Calm.

Select Title Fredericksburg is an anti-drama environment. We believe that our purpose is to bring calm to people’s lives through a quiet and efficient process that makes more room for the actual relationship. We can play a vital role in the stress level our clients feel, and so we gear everything toward this.

We have Positions Open!

Position Title: Escrow (Officer/Assistant)

If you are the kind of person who knows how to “package up the details” and gets satisfaction out of being the one who uses the phrase, “Oh, it’s all taken care of, you just rest easy.” then welcome to Select Title FBG, we’ve been waiting for you. We’re a small-crew title company in the Fredericksburg Texas Hill Country whose core purpose is to bring calm through the title process. Our industry is notorious for being complex and “hectic”, but, standing on the shoulders of strong technology and our quietly efficient process, things have changed. We’re always looking for the next Teammate, not necessarily trying to fill a certain seat. The right attitude and alignment with the existing team are the most valuable attributes when applying.

“Bring Calm”

We throw this phrase around a lot because it’s our ethos and what should characterize everything from your working experience here to what clients receive from us every single day. No drama, no chaos, just calm, some excellent humor and really clear communicating. We take a potentially complex process and make it look simple and straightforward.

Your attitude is paramount. Skills can be trained, so if you don’t meet every single qualification, you should still feel encouraged to apply. Folks who believe what we believe are usually able to empathize, but don’t get caught up in the emotions associated with business “frenzy”. Our clients can sometimes be stressed, and many of them have little to no understanding of what we do. So for us, it’s helping one another, as a cohesive team, to manage the details of a real estate transaction; informing the client as-needed to help them feel calm, and ultimately, creating the space for them to feel at ease.

A Select Title FBG attitude looks like:

  • Easy to smile, loves a good quippy joke now and then

  • All about the details, in love with taking a pile of papers and putting them exactly in the right order

  • Easy to talk to on the phone or in person

  • Knows how to send really straightforward email that communicates clearly but sounds really friendly

  • Able to empathize with people, but won’t get emotional about issues

  • Willing to work hard when things get busy, and take time off when it’s time to take a break!

Job Description

This is what we picture you doing. This may change somewhat as we get to know you and as you dive deeper into our business. But on your first day, we’ll be focused on the following:

  • Client communications. You’ll be emailing, phone-calling and welcoming people who come into the office. You don’t need to know all the answers (yet!) but you’ll be helping coordinate information to and from the right people.
