The Title Story Started Like This

It started with multiple conversations. One after the other kept revealing this “agitation” around title services in the Texas Hill Country. Somewhere along the way, things had been turned around backwards and agents (as well as brokers) found themselves jockeying for a place in line. Otherwise, you risked having your title work spoil the transaction or drag it out. We all know that time kills deals. Instead of title being the calmest part of the whole transaction (like it should be) it was just another one of the “wild kids” that kept trying to step out of line. (A direct quote.)

Life’s stressful enough as a real estate broker, agent, coordinator, you name it; the job is tough and complex.

You may have heard of Chris Barnett, he’s a local lawyer and former charter pilot who decided to help. No one else was. Motivated by a deeper desire to bring calm to everyone and everything in his life, he ponied up, digitized and indexed every Gillespie County property record (this took over a year). He brought in a 30-year veteran escrow officer, and partnered with Select Title as the back-office backbone. Bingo. The answer? Select Title Fredericksburg.

Now, everyone battling it out in the local real estate frenzy has an option. Picture getting your file open the same day, not three days or more. Your title commitment? Done within 2-3 days. And you never need to worry about being last in line if things get busy; we don’t have a line. We’ve built a back-office that can scale instantly to meet the demand for efficient and accurate title work.

That’s title delivered simply, through modern systems.

Get back to the calm, shall we? Isn’t that why we all live here? To get a feel for who we are, give us a ring or schedule a time to come by and see how the sausage is made. We’re right in the center of town, on the 2nd floor of the Chase Bank building. Some of you may remember, this is a great place to have a title office
